BlurifyRo ("the app", "we", "our") is a privacy-focused screenshot redaction utility for iOS and Android, built and maintained by Cleoda Labs (operated by RwoodCreative Ltd; the "developer", "us"). This page combines our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Privacy Policy

On-Device Processing

All image processing — OCR (text detection), sensitive-data classification (CNP, IBAN, bank card, name, address, email, phone, URL, amount), redaction (blur, pixelate, blackout, frosted, noise, emoji stickers) and watermarking — happens entirely on your device. The contents of your screenshots never leave your device, are never uploaded to any server, and are not shared with AdMob, Firebase, or any other third party.

Data We Don't Collect

Diagnostics & Analytics (Firebase)

BlurifyRo uses Google Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports (stack traces, device model, OS version, app version) so we can fix crashes. We also use Firebase Analytics to understand which features are used and which screens are visited — aggregated event data, not linked to any account.

This telemetry never includes the contents of your screenshots, the OCR output, or any text the app detects.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

BlurifyRo includes optional rewarded ads powered by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). When you watch a short video ad, you receive one watermark-free export.

You never have to watch an ad. Pro users skip ads entirely, and free users can keep the small corner watermark instead of watching one.

We have configured AdMob for non-personalised ads only. On iOS we do not show an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt and do not read IDFA for cross-app tracking. On Android we do not use AAID for cross-app tracking either.

In-App Purchase (Pro Unlock)

The Pro Unlock (24.99 RON / equivalent in your local currency, one-time, non-consumable) is processed by Apple StoreKit on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android. We do not see your payment method, your full Apple ID or Google account, or your billing details. Apple (iOS) or Google (Android) sends us a confirmation that the purchase was completed; we use it locally to unlock Pro features. Refunds and purchase history are managed via your Apple ID account or Google Play account.

Data Retention

We do not run our own servers, so we have nothing to retain ourselves. Telemetry collected by Firebase and AdMob (anonymous, non-tracking) is retained according to Google's retention policies — typically up to 14 months for Analytics events and shorter for crash logs.

If you are in the EU/EEA (GDPR), the UK (UK GDPR), Romania, or another jurisdiction with similar law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we process. Because BlurifyRo doesn't operate a backend, the practical paths are:

Children

BlurifyRo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided data through the app, contact us and we'll work with you to address it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes (e.g. new SDKs, new data types) will be announced in the App Store release notes (iOS) and Google Play release notes (Android) of the build that introduces them.

Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using BlurifyRo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

BlurifyRo is an on-device screenshot redaction tool that detects sensitive data via OCR (CNPs, IBANs, bank cards, names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, URLs, monetary amounts) and lets you redact it using blur, pixelate, blackout, frosted, noise, or emoji stickers, with optional watermarking. All processing happens locally on your device — no image is uploaded to a server. The App is available for iOS and Android devices.

2. Your Responsibility for Content

You are solely responsible for the images you choose to edit and for what you share after editing. Blurring (and other obfuscation methods we provide) is a visual technique; depending on resolution, redaction strength, and the sensitivity of the underlying information, certain determined parties may still attempt to recover obscured content. We recommend reviewing each edited image before sharing and applying a strong redaction (blackout for high-stakes data) to highly sensitive material. We are not liable for any consequences arising from your choice of what to share or how you configure the redaction.

3. In-App Purchase (Pro Unlock)

The App offers an optional Pro Unlock: a one-time, non-consumable purchase of 24.99 RON (or equivalent in your local currency at the platform's pricing tier). Purchases on iOS are processed through the Apple App Store via Apple StoreKit; purchases on Android are processed through Google Play Billing. All purchases are subject to the terms and conditions of Apple and Google, respectively.

Free users may watch a short rewarded video ad to receive one watermark-free export. Watching ads is always optional — free users can keep the small corner watermark and never see an ad. Pro users skip rewarded ads entirely.

5. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including but not limited to graphics, design, illustrations, text, and code, is the property of Cleoda Labs and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The screenshots and images you import and edit remain your property.

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that redaction effects (blur, pixelate, blackout, frosted, noise, emoji stickers) will be irreversible against all adversaries or reconstruction techniques.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cleoda Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to damages from disclosure of information you chose to share.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Romania.
